Small changes such as the size of handholds, their orientation on the wall, and amount of texture on the climbing wall itself can have a huge impact on the difficulty and safe usage of a particular route. In addition, the location of handhold attachment points on the climbing wall itself, the various angles at which these inserts are positioned, and the thousands of different shaped holds allow for infinite route setting possibilities.
